HOW DO I GET A SHOWCASE AT CPJ

CPJ likes to offer customers a rainbow of talent. Because of different degrees of recognition, we are forced to put requirements in place. These guidelines are to insure that you and the CPJ customers are satisfied with your showing.

You may be popular at other areas, but how well does CPJ patrons know you? How recently have you made a visit as a vocalist or musician? People at CPJ are changing on a consistent basis. You may have been here a year ago and done well, but will the crowd remember you today? How involved is your song list? Our Showcase involves the entire second set dedicated to you alone. It is your show to shine or to crash. None of us wants to crash a showcase. We don't want to make you look bad or make us look stupid. We want you to shine. Here are the requirements we have at CPJ.

A guest spot well be opened for you to do a song or two for a minimum of two weeks. This will introduce or re-introduce you to our current patrons. This will be a benefit to you and us.

A plan of your showcase is required including the following:

Eight to ten songs at least two weeks before scheduling

Any skits you may have planed have to be approved by management. Skits are encouraged.

Any current staff can help with this. BUT THEY MUST BE ASKED .

If you require any talents other than the staff band can offer, talk to management; they can direct

you to the person(s) needed for your requirements

A theme for your showcase is to be submitted to CPJ for approval. This can be done at any time.

Themes used in the past include George Strait Tribute, Rebel Women, Let's Have A Party,

Country Comedy, Etc. If you have any questions about this contact CPJ

If you need to decorate the hall for your show, you will need to set a time and day to get this done.

We are usually flexible on this.

We at CPJ want to offer you a chance to be more than a vocalist/musician. We want to bring out the entertainer in you.
